New Bridge over I-90 at IL Route 47
As part of the Illinois Route 47 Interchange Project that PMCS is monitoring, the northbound bridge over I-90 in Huntley is being rebuilt. Laying i-beams for the bridge (as shown in the photo) is a key part of the construction process.
Scheduled for completion in 2013, the new, all-electronic interchange at Illinois Route 47 on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) will complete an existing partial interchange that currently provides access to and from the east.
The project, a partnership with Kane and McHenry counties, the village of Huntley, and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), is part of the Tollway’s 15-year, $12-billion capital program, Move Illinois: The Illinois Tollway Driving the Future.
