E-Builder Implementation Technical Specialist

Job Description

The e-Builder Specialist will assist a local agency in implementing e-Builder as their comprehensive Project Management and Electronic  Documentation Database.  In this position, you will assist in developing the framework and implanting systems for processes and project management resolutions for projects and programs in the planning, design, and construction phases.  This position requires solid technical, organizational, and communication skills. This position will require someone to manage ball-in-court activities and responsibilities to drive the implementation forward. 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

·       Work with client and consultant staff to develop an understanding of the controls-specific agency needs 

·       Develop recommendations for improvements for system tools, policies, procedures, and reporting

·       Work with staff to develop a detailed work plan and lead the implementation of the actions defined in the recommendations for improvement

·       Work with staff to develop reporting formats, business process workflows, and document management strategies

·       Work with staff to develop the configuration of the Project Management System in support of the day-to-day management of project scope,
budget, and schedule

·       Establish program and project-level reports on the project key performance metrics

·       Provide training and support to e-Builder users across the program

·       Act as the system administrator for the client’s e-Builder implementation

·       Must understand construction industry specific business processes

Professional Requirements

    • 5 years of experience related to project management system implementation related to construction programs/projects
    • BS/BA Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology or MBA Degree
    • Specialized skills and proficiency with project/program controls software and web-based program management systems, particularly e-Builder implementations

Quality Construction Management Auditor 

Job Description

    • The Quality Construction Management Auditor position will perform construction documentation audits on Illinois Tollway construction projects.  Specifically, the auditor will review construction manager’s:
        • Contract compliance
        • Adherence to Tollway policy and procedure
        • Conformance with Tollway CM Manual
        • Conformance with contract Contractor Quality Control Plan (CQP)
    • Work with Audit Manager to close out audits and respond to Engineer and Tollway questions
    • Aide in the annual review and update of Tollway Standards and Manuals related to construction documentation and quality control

Professional Requirements

    • 3 years experience as an IDOT, CDOT, or Illinois Tollway CM or Documentation Engineer
    • Valid IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Certification
    • Illinois Tollway project experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
    • Attention to detail, effective decision making, and organizational skills a must
    • Possess Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel applications
    • Experience with MicroStation, eBuilder database, and/or Primavera scheduling software is a plus
